Can't update Payment Preferences, ps_module_carrier info is deleted

Hello,

I am having a very strange situation, using Prestashop 1.7.8.8. Every time I try to update the Payment Preferences, it dissapears all the payment options at the checkout, showing the message "Unfortunately, there is no payment method available." . If I check the database, I see that the table ps_module_carrier is empty!! 

If I update the info at the ps_module_carrier via a backup the payment options appear again, but the problem is still not solved, because if I try to update the Payment Preferences it happens again the same bug.

Any idea why this is happening or how can I solve it? I read that this happens to other people, but didn't find any solution.

I only can confirm this bug in 1.7.8.8 version. Please try to migrate to the newest 8.X.X (8.1.0 at this current date). There should be everything fine saving payment settings.
