Theme upgrade, and not uninstall+install

Recommended Posts

Hello,

I would know how to upgrade a custom theme.

I mean ; for a module, it's easy, you upload the new archive and Prestashop make the upgrade, by playing the /upgrade/* files.

For a theme, if I upload the new archive, Prestashop tells me the theme already exists. But I don't want uninstall, then re-install the theme, I want just upgrade/replace it. Maybe I have something to do in my theme to allow the upgrade?

Any ideas?

Thanks in advance!

Depends on module. I mainly get updates from the developer, just pack of files to replace and its working fine. ( not whole new version as it won't work that way ). Just files that need to be replaced and don't destroy your current theme.

So ask theme developer.

nice, prestashop is almost 15 years old and does not support a simple upgrade for theme?
