Does Paid theme is same as child theme ?

Ok, so basically I see we can have child themes for further or more drastic changes we would need without impacting main theme updates. What I am wondering is :  when we buy a theme to replace the Prestashop default, is this considered already as a child theme from the default prestahop theme, or we can still create a Child theme from the theme that was bought and not be worried about future updates, be it of Prestashop itself or the paid theme ?

It is the same in custom one. Just change parent theme in theme.yml

If you buy and install custom theme. You can create child theme from it, same as from classic one.
