Mixed Content issue after installing SSL certificate

Hello

I'm running version 1.4.4.1 and have just had a new SSL certificate installed by my hosting organisation.  They have told me that there are mixed content issues on my web site.  I understand what this is but cannot find a way/don't know how to solve this problem.

I have found solutions to this problem for newer versions but not for my ancient steam-powered web site.  Can anyone help/Walk me through what I need to do?  I'm computer literate but just need a little guidance on the how, where and what to edit in the programming/coding world.

... yes I am going to upgrade but that's another story lol

Probably in code or database some resurces have http, you should see it in browser console what elements are loaded with http and you must change it to https.

You might have assets (images, css etc) that are loaded from http.
Look into the browser's developer tools console to see what is wrong.
