Switching from PHP 7.3 to PHP 7.4 running Presta Shop 1.7.8.2 on a managed server

Hello all,

I am running a Presta Shop 1.7.8.2 on a Strato Managed Server. This server offers preconfigured PHP environments for 7.3, 7.4 and 8.0 - with 7.3 not being updated any more Strato will soon no longer support 7.3.

I tried to switch to 7.4 but this comes without the '--enable-zip' option of 7.3 (I compared the phpinfo outputs).

Strato tells me that 7.4 does no longer support the zip extention but I somehow doubt that.

Is there a solution to this situation? What can I propose to Strato to make their pre-cofingured version of 7.4 usable for Presta Shop?

Thats true, it's has to be compiled - I guess this is done by Strato as this is very frequently used functionality
