Product visibility set to "search" - still showing up in Related products

Hi,

I'm trying to hide the out of stock products from the catalog and keep them in "search only" mode. So I set the visibility to search and the products disappeared from the catalog.

But these out of stock products keep showing up in related products block on product page.

 

Any ideas how to hide them from this related products block as well? Only when I set the visibility to "Nowhere" they are finally gone, but I really want to keep them searchable

 

Prestashop 1.7.6, but I think it's the same behaviour across the all versions.
