kokod Posted October 12, 2021 Share Posted October 12, 2021 (edited) Hi, I've had the site running for a while but realised I haven't enabled friendly urls so all the urls look really long and unwieldy. I'm using the default bootstrap theme and running version 1.6.1.24 When I go to Preferences - SEO and URLs there is a message under the Yes/No slider for Friendly URLs saying "URL rewriting (mod_rewrite) is not active on your server, or it is not possible to check your server configuration. If you want to use Friendly URLs, you must activate this mod." How do I activate this mod? I can't see anything in the modules and Services about a URL rewriting module. If I do click on Yes, is it possible I will crash the site or lose all the pages with the unfriendly urls? I have hundreds of products listed. Thanks very much for any help or advice.
