Unable to add first product

Have downloaded prestashop (prestashop_1.7.7.0) and am configuring it using Getting Started document on localhost.

However, on adding the first product displayed "Unable to update settings".

Not sure how to go about getting to save the first product.

 

Any suggestion would help.

This would be more something for the General forum.

Anyway, this kind of thing a bit difficult to solve as it involves Ajax operations. So you need to work a bit harder.

You didn't mention your PHP version. That is important.

Have a look in your server's error log. It might contain an error report.

If that doesn't work the next step would be enabling debug mode. See:

If that doesn't work you can  look in your browser's console to see what error message was returned by the Ajax operation. If you need that please ask again.

Thank you musicmaster. The issue was me trying to save the product without giving it a name.
