[SOLVED] Blank page on Front-Office with logo only appearing, Back-Office is ok

hi, shortly after i successfully installed prestashop on my ubuntu, I can access back-office but front office only shows a blank page with the prestashop logo and that's all.

 

I reinstall my OS after that, but the blank page is still there.

I reinstalled prestashop only, same problem.

Then i reinstalled lamp and prestashop and still same problem.

 

My own assumptions (as clear as a doubt is...):

I've seen on other forums that i need to touch some php. But i'm not familiar with php.

I would also need to modify some file permissions...but it's not clear to me.

By the way, I'm only working from localhost. I'm a newbie.

I found the solution on this website (sorry for the source of info...i forgot where i found it)...

When you install Prestashop, just don't choose the simple mode....choose the full mode with products and demo...

Also make sure you don't erase the install folder before opening the back office and front office windows in OTHER TABS FROM the install confirmation page.

that worked for me...hope that's a permanent fix:)) and that it can help others.

Hello, I have exactly the same problem, blank front page. I didnt install the full version with extra modules because the 2 times I tried it froze on install so I had to install lighter version just to get the thing workinbg

I have disabled the cache and switched ccc off. Now I have blank page with only logo apear on all pages.

whtever I do its like that. The funny is that I am on newly installed 1.5.3....
