I was brought in to migrate to another store platform, and we need to keep access to Presta for a little while for access to records. The site is hosted on AWS, and I was able to get SSH access. I thought it was going to be as simple as changing the URL from mystoreurl.com to shop.mystoreurl.com to make the site a subdomain but that causes "An unexpected error has occurred. Please contact the webmaster.". I finally got into MySQL and reverted the changes back for pS_Shop_url and such so I am back in the store via a hosts file change on my pc to the old site IP address. What did I miss in moving the site to this subdomain? I had shop.mystoreurl.com setup in my hosts file as well for testing, and got that error message. I appreciate the assistance, as this is my first time within Prestashop. The site SSL is expired, so I'm okay removing the SSL access if that fixes things.
