I am new to prestashop and it is my first cart system try, anyways i am having a problem that in step 2, when i fill all of my info and verify that so database is correct but i am getting a message.(Can't create settings file, if /config/settings.inc.php exists, please give the public write permissions to this file, else please create a file named settings.inc.php in config directory)i have written permissions as mentioned in wiki but i am still getting is message please help me Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

m70ab2 Posted July 1, 2011 Share Posted July 1, 2011 (edited) I have the same problem, unable to resolve it even with "chmod -R 777 root" command. Edit: my instalation files were mounted from other server, which it seems is unsupported.
