Administration -> Tools -> Translation is empty page

Recommended Posts

Hello,

I'm trying to translate some modules from english to german. This worked very well until I reached the section where I wanted to translate modules. This page just seems to stop loading.

How can I trace or fix this?

Yours,

S.

Seems that in my case the possibility of being able to save translations does not depend on the language. I've tried different language translations without success.

But depends on the modules I'm trying to update (it's happening only to modules). Some modules are saving translations, some of them don't.

Any clues to solve it?

Not the file, the actual folder needs to be 777

You can always install PS and those modules on your local computer (using Wamp), then translate them there, and copy the translation files from the folder of the module in your local to your server (IE /modules/module_name/es.php)

OK. I've tried with fresh new installed Prestashop on my local computer using Wamp. The problem is still the same: some modules are saving the translations and some do not.

Should I try any specific ini settings for the server?

I'll post the exact steps again:

- in Translations page, I choose modules translations and then press the language flag

- I am filling the fields (I tried some) and then press update translations

- some fields are saving and some don't

- the fields that are saved are at the top of the modules translations page

- from a certain range below nothing is saved

- message after updatng is always update successfull

Thank you Pascuc, your post helped me out!

But it's

"php_value memory_limit 32M

php_value max_input_vars 5000"

without the ""

I also discovered that is more useful, fast and also available w/o Internet access to translate the site on localhost using Wamp and then export the language as a file and import it in hosted web after that. It is useful for me to work at translations even w/o Internet access.
