I tested it on the default Prestashop theme, and right there it works, so I am sure it is a problem with the Theme. Knowing this, I looked around, and there was an implementation in category.tpl to do (http://doc.prestasho...tion+in+a+theme). I did it but it still isn't working, so I guess there is more critical things to change within the theme so it works.
