I seem to always have issues with the permissions area it seems to me.........how do i give apache the correct permissions that the store is going to need in the end really? Thanks!

I am trying to do the auto-install using the zip feature inside php, but everytime i launch it in a browser, it just keeps starting the count up and just keeps on doing that too.......... what could be causing this to happen?

I am just wanting to separate all women fragrances to go under the women category, and the men fragrances to all go under the men fragrances category. I have already setup a feature to be able to intake the data from the suppliers datafeed already. What I want to do now, is take that information and be able to put all mens and womens fragrances under each main category, then let their be 300+ sub-categories, but not as main category...... Can anyone help me on this matter at all? Thanks, Sean

I'm not really sure what I am doing wrong at this point now, have been trying for 2 weeks to get the shipping carrier modules to work, but to no avail at all. I even downgraded back to 1.6.0.14, thinking it might be the new version having an issue of some kind. I am still having the issue though, even with the change of versions now. Can someone send me some pointers on what I could be forgetting possibly. I would really be grateful if someone could help me out and sort out this problem if possible. I know there has got to be someone on here that knows how to get the shipping carriers working surely? Thanks! Sean

I don't think there is any other way really.........at least none that i am aware of at this time, now some of the templates that you purchase, they will have places you can put videos alot of the time using widgets.

Hi Prestashop helpers, I am having a dilemma of crazy proportions, i can't seem to get the shipping carriers to work when placing an order at all, plus on the first page of the 5, it says free shipping, even when i got all the free shipping areas turned off at this point. I have re-checked all various settings for the various carriers, and still come up with nothing at all.........I installed the modules for USPS, UPS, and Fedex. I am still getting the "free shipping" eventhough there is no free shipping turned on anywhere at all. What is my next step if anyone knows what I can do next maybe? Update: I went into the carrier wizard to just try making my own carrier to see if it came up by chance, and guess what, it sure did. So what could be keeping the modules carrier from being shown possibly? Thanks, Sean

Hi there, One way that I got around it was i just added it as a attachment, meaning the customer would need to download it, to be able to watch it.......there is a module that you can buy that will get videos onto products themselves, but i wasn't inclined to spend over a $100 to put videos on products themselves, so i just added them to the attachment area instead. I know this doesn't answer your question totally, but it is another option possibly.

I have gone to extensive looking and working on things trying to get the shipping carriers to appear and nothing is working, not sure what else to do at this point. Can someone please enlighten me a little and see if you can help me out and getting this working once again? I have gone into the backend and deleted all the carriers and start over, but I am still getting the same problem as well.............the shopping cart even says free shipping, but nothing is checked for free shipping anywhere at all.

I'm sort of having the same trouble with the images not showing, but the only thing that has changed with me is that i wiped out everything and just re-installed everything, but now i can't get none of the images to come up at all. I'm using PS 1.6.1.0 with the store manager doing the loading of the stores various suppliers automatically..........the pictures show on the store manager, but not on the site at all. I've got a service that can populate my product pages but I have to insert a script into the product page where i want the information to populate, but that's way more technical than i am at all.......is there anyone out there that knows about ICEcat Live? I am having the most interesting issue i have seen yet.....I've got modules that won't even load because of the root problem i am having currently...... I'm getting an error message saying that the Root must be an integer.........i'm lost totally now when it said that, because it does have one....... Hi Everyone, I am trying to do like a category of various companies that have mini-sites, and want them to be in a category type list or icons and then you click on one to get a full page of that companies information. I can get the widget to attach to the companies name, but it opens up on the homepage and that's not what i want at all, want it to open into a blank screen like my iframes are doing. If anyone can help me out, i would be grateful. Sean

I keep getting errors everytime i try to upload this file, i even tried to just get the 2nd part only, and i would setup the main categories myself, that didn't even work either, i had someone tell me to use the force id option on the import area, but that didn't work either.............i'm not sure what to do at this point and i really need this supplier, since they are the ones that hold my special authorizations for items.
