  1. OK, I am back - I've just googled a question that I MYSELF asked 6 months ago! After few frustrating days of debugging this piece of s... software I just get bored of the Internal Server Errors, messed up email templates, wrong links in emails and unability to change any logo from the back office, because it just does not work.... and I could go on... In past 6 months I spent countless hours (I am really scared to look into the time tracker... I just do not want to know how much time I wasted) fixing, testing, reuploading, regenerating, firebug inspecting, editing db entries, commenting or adding the code and rolling eyes. So I decided to reinstall it from scratch, my last hope. AND IT DOES NOT WORK AGAIN. It gets stuck at 3rd step of the installation. It is seriously ridiculous how if you try to do anything, it almost everytime miraculously ends up with an error. Error here... error there. This is random bug generator. I give up. Maybe if I try tomorrow, the gods of Presta will bless me with smooth installation. But I already know, that instead all the hell break loose and I will spend next 3 nights trying to figure out how to make the button work or I dont know... P.S.: I am not angry or anything. I am just feeling like in a ZOO monkey kindergarten. With a banana... I my eye.
  2. I was messing up with that issue a little more and I did not find any solution, but it seems that after the restore it starts to work OK. I am now able to translate the emails from back-office. There is some weird-prestashop-sh*t going on here. But the 3 warnings still remain a mystery
  3. Hi, that is not a good solution, because I want to change Invoice logo. When you upload a Header logo for the shop for the first time, it adds that logo.jpg file onto your ftp and all other logo types such as Invoice logo have this image as a source. So if I changed the image on ftp it would change all the logos in the shop, not only Invoice logo. Any ideas?
  4. Hi, I want to translate email templates in my Prestashop 1.6 (1.6.0.14), but when I start editing and than save the changes, it messes up the templates. For example: I install fresh prestashop, go to Localization>Translations>Email templates translations, default-bootstrap, my language > Modify. Expand "Core emails" and click on "account" email template. View HTML version works fine - it just shows the email template. Then I go to "Edit HTML version" which is also OK. But then i translate e.g. Heading and press "Save" It shows a flash message "Successful update" and 3 warnings right after: There are 3 warnings:A mail directory exists for the "sk" language, but not for the default language (en) in /themes/default-bootstrap/modules/followup/mails A mail directory exists for the "sk" language, but not for the default language (en) in /themes/default-bootstrap/modules/mailalerts/mails A mail directory exists for the "sk" language, but not for the default language (en) in /themes/default-bootstrap/modules/referralprogram/mails Now if I expand core emails and open "account" template > "View HTML version" it is messed up like it lost its CSS, it is now on wierd cyan color background. When this happend I went to FTP, and restored original templates from backup and now the edit works fine. I do not understand this: 1. why did it mess up the templates in the first place? 2. why are there some missing templates in modules? What should I do about it? 3. why emails can be found in root/mails and then in /themes/default-bootstrap/mails? Which are in use? Should I translate both or just one? 4. can I somehow send all emails to my testing email account to see if they look and read properly? I had the same problem last time I installed another instance of prestashop, but I did not have time to debugg, so I just did the changes in the code and copied the changed templates using FTP. I believe this should be resolved, because it is like fundamental think to do when installing new language. Thank you for any insight.
  5. Hi, no it is not. If I try to change "logo for invoice" it is not being uploaded. If I try to change "Header logo" it is not being updated in img folder in ftp. Thanks for your reply.
  6. Hi, I want to change logo of my shop in Prestashop 1.6 (1.6.0.14), but I am unable to change any logos in my shop. When I go to Preferences > Themes > Logo > add new file > then I choose a .jpg file from my pc (400x120px small and 9,71kB in size) and press "Save" button - it gives me "The settings have been successfully updated." But I do not see any changes whatsoever. Not in Backoffice nor in Frontoffice nor in FTP. I tried the same process on the official prestashop demo - it worked, but when I repeat the same process in my shop, it does not work. I have Cache turned OFF. Force compilation turned ON. I cleared prestashop Cache. I cleared browser Cache. I tried Mozilla, Chrome and IE. I set folder /img permissions to 777. (I also contacted my hosting provider, they think it is Presta bug). Nothing works. Can somebody pleas help here? Thank you very much.
  7. Hi, I am trying to manually install fresh Prestashop 1.6.0.9. I unzipped prestashop files on my local machine. I created a new directory "Prestashop" in subdomains directory - as I want it to be on subdomain. I copied all unzipped files into it using Filezilla. I created a database and a user. I visited the subdomain to start installation - it starts OK. Install starts - In "Choose your language tab" I choosed English language and hit Next. It opend "License agreements tab" where I ticked "I agree" and hit Next. It checked green the "System compatibility tab" and skipped to "Store information". Problem occurs here - I filled in everything in "Store information" tab and hit Next. It starts loading and this is where it gets stuck. It finishes loading, stays on the same tab and changes "main activity" select box to its default state "please choose your main activity" and then does nothing. If i hit Next again, it is the same thing. Do you have any idea what is going on? I tried deleting browser cash, disable Mozilla addons, restarting browser, deleting all files from ftp and uploading them again, even downloading new .zip file directly from prestashop.com and unzipping it directly on ftp using web2ftp - nothing helped. Important thing - I already have prestashop running the same way on subdomain at the same hosting, so the problem should not be in the hosting service. Thank you in advance!
