I am having a problem. It seems to have happened when I went to 1.7.8.11 version. I can't call up my customers. I am new at this and don't know anything about data bases or anything else about this program. How can I fix this without having to start the entire store from scratch again? Thanks, Billd11

Hi everyone, I have a question. My business is in the U.S. When in the carriers mod, the units of measure are all metric (kg or Euros). How do I change it to oz, lb & $. I can't find anywhere where I can do that. Thanks, Bill

I am a novice at this. I don't really know where anything goes. I checked all my permissions. Everything seems OK. I never had an issue like this before. I know the front office has a link to download the new zip file. I don't know where it should go in the Prestashop area. It currently downloads it to my PC. It obviously doesn't do any good there. From looking at my error message it appears the archive file is getting created but the upgrade can't put anything in it. I am a little confused here. I would like to get this done since it has the security patches in it. I also don't want this problem every time I need to install a new upgrade. Thanks for your help.

I have been trying to upgrade my store from 1.7.8.3 to 1.7.87 using the 1-click. I upgraded the 1-click to the most current version. I keep getting an error message that the zip file cannot close properly. This is the error, I am getting [INTERNAL] /home3/reggiea1/public_html/modules/autoupgrade/classes/ZipAction.php line 111 - ZipArchive::close(): Can't open file: Permission denied. This is the error it lists. Could not close the Zip file properly. Check you are allowed to write on the disk and there is available space on it. I never had this problem before. Here is my checklist. Everything is green. The 1-click upgrade module is up-to-date (your current version is v4.14.2) Your server is running on a supported PHP version. Your store's root directory is writable (with appropriate CHMOD permissions) PHP's "Safe mode" option is turned off PHP's "allow_url_fopen" option is turned on, or cURL is installed PHP's "zip" extension is enabled Your store is in maintenance mode PrestaShop's caching features are disabled PHP's max_execution_time setting has a high value or is disabled entirely (current value: unlimited) PrestaShop requirements are satisfied.

Hi, Never mind. I fixed it. I was able to upgrade to version 1.7.7.8 and everything is working again. I cancelled the debug mode. Thanks, Bill

I am using version 1.7.7.1. I have the same problem. I can't get out of the debug mode. When I go into the BO and click on the Advanced Parimeters where the debug switch is supposed to be, it get a page of debug errors. I need to get this fixed. My site is down. Thanks, Bill

I have been using PrestaShop for a few years now. One thing I don't see happening in the updates is a way to actually buy the inventory we sell. How do you buy those 10 widgets you need for order in PrestaShop? I doesn't look like there is a way to do that. The software is great for selling, but not for buying inventory. Is there a way to do that? Is there a module that does that without having to spend hundreds of dollars? is PrestaShop working on that aspect? Last week, I sold 4 of an out that was out of stock. My inventory showed -4. I purchased the item change the inventory to 4. Since I had a sale for the 4, my inventory should now be 0. It instead it shows 4 in stock. That is wrong. The inventory increase didn't link to the orders. This is an important issue. I now have to change my inventory to 0 without is showing my order was ever filled by that purchase. I spent money to buy the product but there is no accounting for it. I am a purchasing agent by trade so I know how this buying and inventory thing should work. Are there plans to address these things? Are there plans to make PrestaShop a more complete system? Am I not using the system correctly and don't realize it? Also, I want to links my vendors to my products so I know where to buy them from. Is there a way to do that without putting that on display to my customers? Thanks, Bill

Here is a follow up on my problem. Looks like my customer reassurance module was messed up. It somehow got hooked to places it shouldn't have. However my Customer's page now says this: "Oops! An Error Occurred The server returned a "500 Internal Server Error"." It doesn't show any customers.

I just tried to upgrade and when I did my delivery, legal notices etc moved from the bottom to above my header. It displayed them twice on to and once on the bottom. I had roll back to 1.7.5.2 to get everything aligned properly. How do I fix this for 1.7.6.5?

So, apparently the answer is no. Prestoshop software is free but in order to actually ship something UPS or USPS you have to pay $100 for the module. Wish I knew that BEFORE I downloaded 1.73. My shop has been down 2 months because I couldn't upgrade to 1.73 from 1.67. Now I find out there are no free major carrier shipping modules. Guess I am pretty much out of business.

I installed 1.7.4.3 a week ago and I have been off line for a week. It has really NEVER WORKED. My store is down. I did a fresh install so everything should have worked fine. It doesn't. The only way I could access the modules that were PRE INSTALLED with 1.7.4.3 was through the debug. It allowed me to see and upgrade the mods. However, PayPay, UPS etc that were part of the 1.7.4.3 package never showed up which means not all the included mods are visible. There should be a compatibility problem if they were included in the 1.7.4.3 package. My last post was from the debug program. This is what is keeping me from seeing and using the modules that were installed with the 1.7.4.3 What this leads to is a 500 error when I try to access the mods without going through the debug.

Here is an upgrade to me problem. I was able to access the Modules and services area by using the debug mod. Not sure why. I was able to see that modules and configure them. However I didn't see Paypal and the Payment method modes. When I clicked on the src/Core/Foundation/IoC/Container.php. Problem starts in line 111 and leads to a series of errors on various files. I have just spent over an hour with my hosting company. They couldn't fix the 500 server error, I got when I tried to access the modules after installing 1.7.4.3 My business has been shut down for 5 days. They are now doing a restore hoping I can get back to my 1.6.22 version and move forward. I am NOT happy. If this doesn't work, I will be looking for a different online store software because PrestaShop obviously doesn't have it's act together. I am not a programmer and I have no idea how to fix this.

Since I could not find a way to make anything work after I moved from 1.6.2 to 1.7.4.3, I started all over again. I did a fresh download of 1.7.4. which created an entirely new database. This means I basically lost everything. I have no customers, no merchandise, no nothing. If anyone knows how to link my old database so it actually works. I would be grateful. With the new version, I seem to have access to everything in the Back office except the modules. Every time I hit Modules & Services, I get a 500 server error. That means, I can't do anything with modules. I can't install or edit them. Without them, I have no shipping, payment and can't change the anything on the site. I have no clue what I am doing. I am not a programmer and this is supposed to be a brand new install.

I have BO access to SOME of it. When I click on Customers, it errors out. It says access denied. Catalog seems to be OK. Clicking on modules and services gives me a 500 internal server error. I have no access to any modules. I can't modify anything. Everything gives me the 500 internal server error. I am a novice at this so I have no idea how to fix this. Since I can't roll anything back, I am stuck here. My store is off line because I can't conduct business.
