  1. The Google Analytics tracking snippet needs to be inside the <head></head> tags to get accurate reporting. but to keep the load time of the site low, it is best practice to move all JS to the bottom of the page. PS. 1.6 has an option in Admin (advanced parameters -> performance) to "Move Javascript to the end" Does anyone know how to keep that option enabled, but also keep the GA Tracking Code from moving to the bottom?
  2. Bellini, Hi! I am using your stripe module and just upgraded to the latest V 2.9. The issue I'm having is exactly the same in described in this post, except I just upgraded to PS Version 1.6.0.11. Never had any problems with your module and it's been working great up to this point. Here is the url after processing: http://mydomain.com/quick-order?step=3&stripe_error=1#stripe_error Payment goes through but this is the result.
  3. That's right, it's redirecting in a way that will never land on a page, it will keep redirecting without end, hence redirect loop
  4. Great question! There is HTTPS in the URL when Force SSL is disabled on all pages EXCEPT the home page. The home page is a normal http. Perhaps the issue is somewhere in the FrontController.php file?
  5. Shop domain and SSL Domain are exactly the same in both fields. at first I used a non-www domain for both, now I have www in both and problem still exists. Keep in mind, Im using the pretty url module, but after disabling it, nothing changes. When you did experience the redirect loop issue, what was the cause?
  6. I recently upgraded to V1.6.0.9 and the new version is excellent except for one bug. The bug appears when SSL is enable, and "Force the SSL on all the pages" is disabled, I get a redirect loop when navigating to any category or cms page. However if I enable "Force the SSL on all the pages" that problem goes away. I need the site to work when "Force the SSL on all the pages" option is DISABLED because forcing all pages to SSL slows down the site a lot. Your thoughts on how to fix this are much appreciated.
  7. Hello All, Im using version 1.5.6 and In my "home" category, I have 337 products. In the backend admin panel, the system will only allow me to see up to 300 products per page so all new products added to this category automatically show up on page 2. For the life of me I can't figure out how to move a single product from page 2 to page 1 without disrupting the overall order of the category. Please help! Thank you!
  8. Hello All, I recently set up prestashop 1.5.6 and in doing so, have had some issues sending and receiving email from the contact form and customer service. I use google apps to handle my email and every time I try to sync the imap settings from the customer service page on the admin panel, it says "imap is not installed on this server" Any help will be appreciated!
  9. I installed the 1.5.4 version (one that did not have the problem with the tabs) and tried to upload the database from version 1.5.6 but it did not take, I keep getting a 500 server error. What is the difference between the two versions?
  10. I have another site, built on v1.5.4 and that issue does not exist in that version, is there a major difference between the two? Additionally the site built on 1.5.4 has much fewer products.
  11. Hello All, I am using prestashop V_1.5.6, but this also was happening on V_1.5.5. When logged in to the admin panel, I try to edit product pages and every 3rd to 5th product I try to edit, a popup show up saying "some tabs were not loaded correctly" I've noticed quite a few posts on this top and I did find a temporary solution. The problem is every time the product page is loaded in the admin panel, the prestashop engine sends a bunch of requests to the server. The server then considers this an attack, invoking a security protocol that blocks my IP address from being able access to the site for 45 seconds to 15 minutes. This problem is solved by whitelisting my IP address on the server side, but this solution is only temporary and certainly not enough for all the folks I have working on the site as many of their ip addresses are dynamic. Does anyone know how to solve this problem permanently without having to add whitelisted IP addresses?
  12. and by the way, are there any examples of sites currently running the "Module Prestashop Blog", here is its link: http://addons.prestashop.com/en/content-management/4731-prestashop-blog.html
  13. Hi Vekia, You seem to be very much against blog module for SEO purposes. May I ask why you feel this way?
  14. Hey all, As we all know, a blog is now essential to running a successful e-commerce store. What I need help deciding is which of the two options below is better for SEO purposes. 1) Build a wordpress blog in a subfolder in the root directory so the url is like this http://mysite.com/BLOG or... 2) purchase a a blog module like "Module PrestaShop blog" so there is no need to install a blog in a subfolder and the blog itself is native to the store? Your advise will be much appreciated!
