  1. Hi all, How do I export the database? Is it possible to export the database of categories/products to CSV? Thanks all
  2. Hi, Apologies if this has been answered before, but can someone point me in the right direction regarding moving my Prestashop Version 1.0.0.8 installation from one host to another. Is it a matter of transferring all the files and placing them on the new host, backing up the existing database and importing to the new host, logging into Back Office >> Preferences >> Database and changing the settings? Does anyone offer a service to move the site to a new host? Cheers
  3. To be honest I daren't upgrade - it's took a good while getting the store right, and we configured the search so its more accurate and searches on words with 3 characters or more. I can see it messing the store up
  4. Ok, can you point me in the right direction to do that? Or would it be better to ask my host for automated backups of the database? Richard
  5. Correct I could, however he wants to be able to do it himself without asking me evey so often.
  6. Hi, My colleague (who is not technical, just operates the store) wants to backup the database on a regular basis. I have done this myself following the instructions here http://www.prestashop.com/wiki/back_up_your_database/. But this may be very difficult for him to do, and he doesn't have access to cPanel or phpMyAdmin (as its my hosting account!). Is there a simpler way for him to 1-click backup the database? Many thanks Richard
  7. Hi all It seems many of our products have been added with the wrong weight - is it possible to amend a bunch at once without going through them one by one? Not a problem if not. Thank you Richard
  8. Hi all, I'm fairly new to the shipping config page, but whats the best way to; UK postage: 1 = 0 to 1kg at UK 2nd class recorded = £3.99 2 = 1 to 2 kg at UK 1st class recorded or parcel = £6.20 Rest of the world would be on a sliding scale for international signed for via small packet. 100g = £3.99 + £3.50. 200g = £4.99 + £3.50. 300g = £5.99 + £3.50 400g = £6.99 + £3.50 500g = £8.99 + £3.50 up to 1kg = £13.07 + £3.50 via small packet. Any advice please? Richard
  9. Hi all I've just tried to upload an image that both me and my friend are both having trouble uploading and checked my error log. Here it is (the stars are my IP); *.*.*.* - - [02/Jan/2009:09:16:31 +0000] "POST /myadmin/index.php?tab=AdminCatalog&id_product=133&token=1950289469ea08a9839479465fde4cc0 HTTP/1.1" 500 6733 "http://www.dudhillskaraoke.com/myadmin/index.php?tab=AdminCatalog&id_product=133&id_category=11&addproduct&conf;=4&tabs=1&token=1950289469ea08a9839479465fde4cc0" "Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-GB; rv:1.9.0.5) Gecko/2008120122 Firefox/3.0.5" I tried another test image which uploaded fine and got this; *.*.*.* - - [02/Jan/2009:09:18:59 +0000] "GET /img/p/133-245-small.jpg HTTP/1.1" 404 16774 "http://www.dudhillskaraoke.com/myadmin/index.php?tab=AdminCatalog&id_product=133&id_category=11&addproduct&conf;=4&tabs=1&token=1950289469ea08a9839479465fde4cc0" "Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-GB; rv:1.9.0.5) Gecko/2008120122 Firefox/3.0.5" As you can see they are both different. Can anyone see whats wrong? Thanks all Richard
  10. Hi, When adding php_value memory_limit 32M it gives the 500 store error - everything else is fine. Also my host has increased the memory limit. So confusing! It must be down my friends PC, but what can be stopping him? Richard
  11. Ok I have tried this and still the same problem; # URL rewriting module activation #RewriteEngine on # URL rewriting rules #RewriteRule ^([0-9]+)\-([a-zA-Z0-9-]*)\.html(.*)$ product.php?id_product=$1$3 [L,E] #RewriteRule ^([0-9]+)\-([a-zA-Z0-9-]*)(.*)$ category.php?id_category=$1 [QSA,L,E] #RewriteRule ^([0-9]+)__([a-zA-Z0-9-]*)(.*)$ supplier.php?id_supplier=$1$3 [QSA,L,E] #RewriteRule ^([0-9]+)_([a-zA-Z0-9-]*)(.*)$ manufacturer.php?id_manufacturer=$1$3 [QSA,L,E] # Catch 404 errors #ErrorDocument 404 /404.php php_value memory_limit 32M I have email my host who has done this; but again he seems to have the same problem. Richard
  12. Hi, The file wasn't 777, but I have just changed it now and still a server error page comes up.
