music shop with prestashop

Hi everybody,
I'm new here. I already installed prestashop on my local machine and did some experiments.
What I'd like to do is setting up an online shop to sell music and related products, being able to manage both physical and digital goods (cds, lps, mp3s, t-shirts, posters etc.).
I really love how Ninja Tune's shop works (http://ninjatune.com/shop).

Here's a page for an album: http://ninjatune.com/release/bonobo/black-sands
From a single page you can:
- buy single tracks as mp3 or wav download
- buy the entire album in physical format (cd or lp) or digital (mp3 or wav)
- listen to a preview for each track
- see different tracklists for different formats (if needed)

I also think this is a decent result: http://shop.platinumrds.com
And it looks like it was done with prestashop.

How can I get such results with prestashop?
How do I need to manage my products?

I think it would be really helpful to have a tutorial on this, seeing as online music is so popular.

I have been experimenting with Prestashop with this in mind. I came up against the problem whereby the Products options only allow a name. SO for example you might want, Artist name + Song Title, but in Products there is only the name field

However, I got round that by creating several subcategories, for example

Category

-> sub_category(singles) -> sub_category(the artist) => product(the single)

OR

sub_category(albums) - > sub_category(artist) => product (the album)


The product can have an image associated with it (you simply put the image in a designated folder and browse to it whn creating your shop)

The product can also have a media file associated with it, that also is done in the Add new product page

The Prestashop page includes 'blocks' for example wishlist, checkout etc, these can be moved about the page or indeed not included

There are lots of add on modules and templates for free on the internet, but none for music sales, you have to buy them!

I have only been using Prestashop a couple of days but have got a basic shop designed. Familiarize yourself by experimenting and you'll be surprised just how flexible but competent Prestashop is. I can only commend those involved in its creation.

So yes, a music shop is quite achievable in Prestashop, let's rock and roll
