Help with Carousel module

Hello everybody!

I'm trying to develop a new theme for a site I'm developing and i'd like some help...

I've downloaded Rocky's Carousel module, but I can't get it to work in "Top of Pages" section..

On admin's panel I've hooked this module in "Top of Pages", but it didn't show up on main page, so I've tried to hook it in "Homepage content" then it showed up.

Therefore, I'd like to do something like: http://cms.template-help.com/prestashop_32938/, because I need to put left column under the Carousel module just like the website mentioned.

Any help is welcome!!
