Stable version 1.4 User Manual

Hi,
Since there are more features and changes in version 1.4 and it's different than version 1.3, specially in BO I am wondering if there will be any User's Manual for 1.4 stable version when releasing.

You've got to be kidding, documentation to Prestashop developers is like a four-letter word. Just like their help

there won't be documentation but everything is very well explained. The code is well documented and the BO has tips here and there. You'll do fine, just experiment with the different options. It's very straightforward. Also, try to install the modules one by one to see what each module do.

Yeah, right
There is no more documentation in this code than in any other version.
The developers of this product do not care enough about it to make the step to take it to the next level. While it is all good and fine to add features and fix bugs, to bring it up to the respectability of OSCommerce, Magneto, or any of the other great free packages, they are going to have to produce documentation.

And I'm not talking about just user documentation, either. Since this product is open-source, a developer's guide, as well as a themeing guide, also need to be created. Waiting for a third-party to produce one isn't the right way to do things.

And while I'm on my rant...I have said it before, and I'll say it again, loud and clear, that they should require their developers to do "rounds" on the forums helping others. This is what sets great company and product apart from the rest.
