External signup methods

Hi all,

I'm building a site that has it's own separate user management, with a Prestashop cart beside it to drive the commerce on the site. I would love to write the values from the signup into the Prestashop database and let them sign into both with the same credentials.

Is this possible?

Basically, I just want to remove the signup section of the Prestashop build, and allow it to use a separate set of information that I'll write into the database.

Of course it's doable, but it will require some custom programming.
If you are not up to it, I'd be happy to take on the job for a small fee.

Now, if you are talking about a Joomla! CMS site, then TrueMedia (user) has a module for that, search the forum.
