cactusman2
As you already know the pdf invoice doesn't accept "exotic caracters" (special accents, chinese, japanese...).Can somebody explain clearly how to make the pdf generator UTF-8 friendly? This is a very important problem as many people can not use prestashop in this state. spott
Check your server settings and also PDF settings.I am using PrestaShop in Estonia and we have öäüõ letters - and all these are printed absolutely fine in invoices and slips. And this is not PrestaShop issue, but FPDF issue, and FPDF doesn't support right now UTF-8:http://www.fpdf.org/phorum/read.php?f=1&i=16111&t=16111But You can search and add special utf-8 map file by yourself, when You are finding that. MrBaseball34
Read this post and migrate to TCPDF which has UTF-8 support:http://www.prestashop.com/forums/viewthread/11389/general_discussion/migrate_from_fpdf_to_tcpdfYou need to realize that Prestashop is being developed with some third-party products that are no longer being developed as well as several that are just plain antiquated and no good.If they don't upgrade jQuery to a later version and get far away from FPDF, they will lose customers because the version they are using are several YEARS old and that means that they are ANCIENT in internet time.
