Clean Installation of Prestashop and Trying to Recover Backup and DataBase

Hello!

 

I uninstalled PrestaShop (because I was unable to fix serious issues), I got a clean new installation.

Now I would like to recover my old store, from the full backup that I did (before there was any trouble).

I tried to delete the default DataBase and import the old one, from backup. But the result is that I can no longer access my BackOffice.

 

I have limited knowledge on this, so any help would be absolutely amazing!

Install a fresh installation of the same version.

Restore your backup database in a separate database.

Now use my tool to copy the business data from the backup to the new installation. https://www.prestashop.com/forums/topic/445453-copy-shopdata-script-for-copying-shop-content-for-upgrade/

There is a rather extensive manual included. The most important things:

 - this script copies only business data: products, orders, customers, etc.

 - you will need to re-install your modules and theme

 - you need to copy the image directory from the old installation.

 - you need to adapt your settings file for the passwords to work.
