knutselsmurf
W3C and CSS checks: prestashop gives many errors ! We all want a website which works as good as possible.Good coding (PHP, CSS, javascript, HTML) is importent, a website works better when it has no coding-errors.Just tested http://www.prestashop.com and a couple of prestashop-websites with http://validator.w3.org/ and it's gave MANY MANY ERRORS !!!So, let's hope this problem will be fixed too ;-)Regards,;-) Murphy
rocky
Don't worry. It's an issue the PrestaShop team is aware of and they plan to run everything through the validator and fix any issues before releasing the final version of PrestaShop v1.4. aromat22
I have also checked and keep checking Prestashop versions for W3C errors, from 1.3.7 to now newly released 1.4.1Exact figures of CSS errors for version 1.4.1 are:Under CSS 2.1 validation: 65 errors, 1058 warningsUnder CSS 3 validation: 65 errors, 1076 warningsTo me, this seems quite a bit. I was able to reduce number of CSS errors (that appear in global.css) when switching to my theme, but majority of errors come from this file: "prestashop/css/jquery-ui-1.8.10.custom.css"Also, huge chunk of warnings (from over 1000 pool) is related to "background color" not being specified.I hope this helps to anyone.http://www.aromatherapyonline.net.au
