Gary Gas
I have installed the comments module and have posted a test comment. Is there a way I can edit or delete the comment? While on the subject of comments, is there a way that I can get PS to show only the reviewers first name, rather than their full name? Thanks & Happy New Year!!G
rocky
No, PrestaShop doesn't let you edit or delete comments once they've been validated. The only way is to manually edit the ps_product_comment table using phpMyAdmin and delete or edit them there. You should tick the "Validation required" option if you want to be able to delete unwanted comments before they permanently appear on your website. There is a third-party module here that lets you edit and delete product comments. Gary Gas
Excellent, I have managed to edit the comment via the 'ps_product_comment' table. However I have just discovered that each customer can only leave one comment on a product. Is this correct?
rocky
I wasn't aware of such a limitation. Customers should be able to post as many comments on the same product as they want. I've had customers accidentally post two comments on my website. I usually end up deleting one of them.
Gary Gas
I didn't think that there would be this sort of limit either and I am not sure why my install is acting this way?I am trying to comment on the same product as I did last night and it is not allowing me to at all. I am not even getting an error message... nothing?
rocky
That's very weird. I suggest doing a clean install of the latest version of PrestaShop in a separate directory and test whether it has the same problem.
