arfath Posted December 27, 2010 Share Posted December 27, 2010 in order to enable friendly url from :PREFERENCES > GENERAL >on the "Friendly URL:" there is a description that : If you turn on this feature, you must generate a .htaccess filehow do i generate a .htaccess file, i'm a non-php programmer but i have html/css knowledge and also that of cpanel.any help in this regards will be helpful. i have installed prestashop using sofotculos on the cpanelthanks Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
giuly Posted December 27, 2010 Share Posted December 27, 2010 sorry for wrong words I have prestashop in italian, when you enabled friendly url then go onutility>generatorthe system prestashop will generate automatically htaccess and robots.txt but you have previously to upload 2 empty files on your site via ftp with write permissions called .htaccess and robots.txt then you can generate them from admin panel of prestashop.Bye Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
