Search result difference between version 1.5.6 and 1.7.2.4

Upgrading from 1.5.6 to 1.7.2.4 but on the latter the search results are much less accurate.

FE. when searching using the seach bar for the term "cube town" in the 1.5.6 version I get 10 relevant results. (see www.fietsgoed.nl )

WIth teh same search in the 1.7.2.4 version i get 122 results, with relevant results as on page 6 and 7. (see: new.fietsgoed.nl )

I have the same search settings. and basically the same product combination set-up (except more features). Setting Feature weight to 0 gives the same result.

How can I get back to the old accuracy?

Prestashop changed something in the search algorythm with one of the 1.6 versions. and they have kept that. Something to do with wildcard searches I think

For our 1.6 version I always revert back to an old copy of the search file, but I guess that would not work with 1.7

Well that is a serious blow to the usability of Prestashop as a Ecommerce platform.

However placing the Search.php of version 1.6.1 Stable in the folder override/classes reverts back to the old algorithm.
