How do I remove all images in subcategories?

Hi, I have a large number of subcategories and sub-subcategories (3700 printer models). I just want 3 columns of text with links.

1. How and where do I remove the reference to the images and,
2. How do I format the CSS (I think) to display 3 columns?

To remove the images you need to edit the category.tpl file and comment out or delete the following lines:

               a href="{$link->getCategoryLink($subcategory.id_category, $subcategory.link_rewrite)|escape:'htmlall':'UTF-8'}" title="{$subcategory.name|escape:'htmlall':'UTF-8'}">
               {if $subcategory.id_image}
getCatImageLink($subcategory.link_rewrite, $subcategory.id_image, 'medium')}" alt="" />
                   {else}

                   {/if}

I think you should do this first and see what happens to the page before going through the css as it shoulod change quite a bit
