Remove Category ID from URL !!! discussion

hi dear all,
i am a newer for prestashop,but i love it. and now my version is 1.3.2
today i try to remove category id from URL,and i found some topics about it

Note:i make it obey his operate,but have problem with the category like this :
We’re sorry, but the Web address you entered is no longer available

2,and i found the topic about the solution for the problem as the 1 :

Note:but after i done this,the webiste gets error,and you cant get anything

so,at last,i just did not change the file classes/link.php,and just enter the admin panel,first enable the friendly URL,then go to the tools ->generators,then just generate .htaccess file,and it works like what i have now,all categories and products show as normally,and the Url have change like this http://www.kwokzone.net/laptops/5-macbook-air.html

is that means that i have already remvoe the catergory ID from URL,and make a little work for the website SEO?

I just cant sure whether it's the updated by version 1.3.2

if any one who use this version,and have this kind of experiences,pls share to every one here,thanks.

Having the category id in the url wont have any effect on your SEO what-so-ever.

Has what been updated in 1.3.2?
