How do I import categories to match the products?

Hello everyone.

I am having trouble importing the categories to match the products. I imported the categories and I imported the products, but how do I import the categories for each product.

The way I did it. I am using Excel. I found the ID number Prestashop gave each category. Then I used that ID number in the place of the category for each product. Apparently that is not right. Any help would be great.

No, that's right. Create a category CSV with the category ID, name, etc and a product CSV with the product ID, name and the category IDs that the product should appear in. Import the category CSV first, then the product CSV. Does your category CSV start from ID 2 or have a Home row with ID 1?
