jean.man
Dear all, I am new to prestashop, when editing the remote theme files, I cannot save them after editing.Currently I am accessing the prestashop theme folder and files using dreamweaver cs4.like I opened the remote file "header.tpl" and make changes, however i cannot save it after editing.Anyway to resolve it?Is it related to "change mode" for the theme folder? how can I do this? jean.man
i have tried uploading the amended header.tpl files to the theme folder using FTP. It works. The problem is when I access the header.tpl using dreamweaver, it just cannot save the file. When click save, everything seems OK.After that I access the file again, it is actually the original one.The save is NOT successful, without even an error message occur !!Has anyone got the same problem?Which software do you use to access prestashop theme files when editing? How do you edit the .tpl theme files? Many thanks. jean.man
Problem solved. There is a bug in Dreamweaver. We figured out from the connection log, the put command was done to another location, not the correct files path.It is strange, as we use the connection to locate the file, but dreamweaver does not save the file to its location.Solution :We delete the previous setting, set another new connection to access the folder again.(dreamweaver CS4 > site > new site)Everything is fine now.
