<SOLVED> Mozilla Thunderbird will not import my .csv files correctly

Recommended Posts

Hi,

Im using version 1.31
When i save my .csv newsletter file from prestashop and attempt to import it into Thunderbird the fields are not displayed correctly as seen in the pic..
The fields are displayed all over one row and does not seperate the fields for me.
Do i need to alter the csv file in any way for thunderbird to recognise or am i doing something wrong?
Many thanks,

Gary

ok. so does that mean that should use a different email client or change something to make thunderbird understand the format? Do you have any probs with importing newsletter addresses through your email client?
thanks in advance..

Change this line in module/newsletter/newsletter.php

$line = implode(';', $array);

to this to change to comma separator:

$line = implode(',', $array);

Remember, it's "Frenchies" developing this software and they use semi-colons as separators vs. commas It shoul dhave been a configurable option in this module.
Oh, BTW, I don't use that module, I just pull the addresses from the database myself and use SendBlaster to send out my newsletters.
