Removing the Subject selects from Contact us - replace with a text input

Hi,

I want to change the Subject input from a select with two options, to a plain text field.

I've tried to comment out the selects and put in a text input, using some of the selects id.

This gives me an error as it still is expecting a select and removes what i had in the text input.

If anyone can help me this would be great

I am not an accomplished coder but can carry out basic tasks.
