Thumbnails on product page of additional images too big.

Can Someone help me please?
I think I have changed one too many things and now can't get back to normal. On my product page, the alternate images (different colors) under the main product image (using google chrome to inspect) are apparently sized the same as the large product image so that in the thumb view you can only see the top left corner of the product.

I am not sure what line in the css is linked to the that particular image size or what it would be called in my image preference section. I have changed everything and refreshed and can get every image to change except the one under the main product picture. What is it tied to or why is it loading as a medium image instead of resizing as a smaller thumbnail?

I would love to know what the default image preferences sizes were in the BO by category and what boxes were orignially checked under each "image category" Once you make changes and start checking different boxes you can never go back even if I switch themes. So I am not even sure now which one influences that one picture.
And I am not sure does changing the image preferences in the BO override any global CSS changes or do they have to work together?

No, changing the image preferences doesn't automatically change the CSS. There are some sizes like the product page image size that are hardcoded as 300 x 300px, so you will have to change them to match the image preferences you changed.

Here are the default Preferences > Images settings:

small - 45 x 45 px - Products, Categories, Manufacturers, Suppliers
medium - 80 x 80 px - Products, Categories, Manufacturers, Suppliers
large - 300 x 300 px - Products, Categories, Manufacturers, Suppliers
thickbox - 600 x 600 px - Products
category - 500 x 150 px - Categories
home - 129 x 129 px - Products
large_scene - 556 x 200 px - Scenes
thumb_scene - 161 x 58 px - Scenes
