Thousands of combinations for a single product. Help!

Hi guys,

I need help on this. My business sells customized story books for kids and I would like to integrate the prestashop cart to manage the sell. I have 4 different stories, in two languages, two binding choices, and I need to be able to completely customize the main character with hairstyle, prefered color, name, city, glasses, eyes colors, etc. Some options are text only, but others are very graphical (for exemple, Albert as blue eyes and curly blond hair, while Suzan as brown eyes and straigth long hairs) How would you go about that? My guess would be to make a custom page for all the options, then trick an "add to cart" button in order to process the checkout with Prestashop. But I don't know from what angle to go about it... Could you suggest something?
