Change from only big letters in last name. Please serious answer

Hi!
Can anyone explain how to change from only big letters in customers last name to normal writing. I found one post about it but it was not serious

I have gone through the css file but it seems that its not set there.

What version of PrestaShop are you using? In PrestaShop v1.3, capitisation of surnames was removed. Perhaps you are using an older theme that still has the capitalisation code?

I am using 1.3 with the default theme. And its still there

I don't understand why. My PrestaShop v1.3.1 test site doesn't have capitalised surnames, except for the sample customer "John DOE" and my employee account. Can you provide a link to your site?

Sorry I have 1.2.5 . Can I change something without upgrade the rest

It is possible, but it wasn't a simple change. There was capitalisation code spread through many files in PrestaShop v1.2.5.

Ok then its better to let it be. I cant understand why it was done from beginning. And I have to much changes in my shop that does not work in 1.3.1

It was done from the beginning because that's how the French write surnames. PrestaShop has now been modified to be more international.

I have upgraded from version 1.2.5 to 1.3.1 and new customers are still registered with capital letters in their surnames, and if I try to change it, whatever I type is still in capital letters.

My guess is that you are still using the PrestaShop v1.2.5 theme, which has the capitalisation code in it. Try switching to the default PrestaShop v1.3.1 theme.

I'm using a modified version of the standard theme, so yes it is 1.2.5. it is based on. Will have a look once I have managed to implement my corrections in the new theme.
