goosedesign
Fantastic! Thanks, this is so well timed for me.Just one question: I don't think all of our EU customers, even the business ones will be VAT registered, so requiring them all to enter a number wouldn't work, but I suppose the wording of the radio boxes "personal" and "business" could just be "non-VAT registered" and "VAT registered"? nikodes
Hi DutchCoding,I'm very interested in your module. I'm checking front and back demo, but can't login in front. Looks like it's a pending validation or something like that ? and I've no permission in BO to validate "my" account .. I guess it's what you're working on ? Without the"deluxe" version, how does the validation work ? I'm actually using the customerregistration, and wonder how i'm got to sort out with both ..Thank's, sorry for my bad english .. DutchCoding
Sorry someone installed my Email verification module. but the basic module checks the vat and only lets a business account be registered with a valid VAT number. It puts this vat number in the DNI field. The Deluxe module goes further. It gives you the option to manually activate someones account. It puts this customers automaticlly in a group which is tax free and also does not charge tax at the checkout. It also adds the text : tax exempt to the pdf. manuel1972
Hi Dutchcode,I am interested in the module.Only in the account is it possible to specify invoice address and delivery address. It is not clear to me in the printscreens. It can work for both business (with VATnumber) - Tax exempt for outside country businesses with VAT number, but with TAX added for businesses with VAT number in same country as seller. Also consumer option, always VAT calculated regardless the origin of the customer.Am I right?regards,Manuel

merico
Looks nice, but is looks like you have a bug. This is what i experienced:1. checking of business acount2. filling in random info3. testing my VAT 4. getting succes on the VAT validation (perfekt!)5. Pressing registre6. Getting Error with adress, becuase it was not valid so it should happen. Now the problem:The account type changed to consumer, and the tax field dissapeared. When changing to buisness again, the box doesn't show.It is not a huge problem, but i'm sharing it in case you want to try and provide a fix for it. manuel1972
I've sent 2 messages through your contact form (website). After checking your demo I wonder if it works with delivery and invoice address, similar to the original PS module. In your demo I only noticed 1 address option. manuel1972
I guess the module works with B2B and B2C.In case of B2B:- Foreign VAT number, order invoiced without VAT.- Local VAT number, order invoiced with VAT.In case of B2C:- Always invoiced with VAT.This is correct right?
DutchCoding
@manuel1972: correct. btw what original ps module do you mean? You can always change your billing or shipping address in step 2 of the order process.
DutchCoding
I will be setting up another demo, the Deluxe Module demo. Here you can go through the registration process and see how it works. even place some orders to see the invoices and price calculation. manuel1972
OK, step 2 keeps functioning, that is login. But step 3 address; that is the place where your module starts right? In the first printscreen in first post, I only notice one column. The customer doesn't need to enter 2 times his data?
DutchCoding
By default no, the address is automatically used for both invoice and billing. this is the prestashop way.But I want to know what did you want it to do with the address?
manuel1972
in default: billing and shipping address are the same yes.As billing address is the address where the VAT number is added, and checked (I guess). So it has something to do with it hasn't it? In what step your module comes into play?I tried to check teh front-end demo but it doesn't accept new registration. EXON
Hi DutchCodingI'm interested in your module however have a few questions My country store is CHILE, I'm setting up my site right now. Questions are:Will this module work to validate chilean ID number? (I think is similar to VAT number). We user this number for identification and tax related things, all people and business have one, so is a MUST and has to be a mandatory field.ID Format is: 12.345.678-9 or 12.105.362-KExample of a real ID (mine) : 12.105.362-4For certain ID numbers, last digit is a "K" letter as you noticedThere are no possible letters other than "K" in last positionIt should be possible for the customer to input either:12.105.362-4 or 12105362-4We can make customer input only 12105362-4 format as long as fields "identificación fiscal" "Número de identificación" "DNI / NIF / NIE"are editable (spanish translation). Finally this number should be in invoice. Is is importan that if customer inputs anything other than this format, ir letters or whatever, registration will not pass. Can all these be configured in your module?Thank you for your response and great work. DutchCoding
Its not possible with my module but i could customize it for you.but what i dont get is"We can make customer input only 12105362-4 format as long as fields"greetings,DutchCoding
EXON
What I really mean is that register form should only validate numbers such as 12345678-K or 12345678-9 there is no really need to validate numbers with decimal separator

prestatesta
i'm interested in buying this module, but i have a few questions:1) what is the difference between the regular and the deluxe version?2) how simple is the installation? do i have to modify any core scripts in prestashop?3) are future updates free?thanks in advance
DutchCoding
Hey prestatesta,Basic is discontinued and isnt going to be updated anymore and was just for same country b2bDeluxe module is for B2B between business in Europe and same country.Deluxe is supported and updated every week to make it work better and fix any bugs, updates are free.I give free support via email.Installation is simple plus there is documentation and video for more information. off course any questions about installation can be made via email.core files just need to be backed up 3 files at the moment and then replaced. the rest is just at the back-office.Greetings,DutchCoding

DutchCoding
ATTENTION ALL CUSTOMERS:I have reports and also confirmed that the VIES database might be down for VAT checking. I already have another solution that will help in such situations if the database is down it will degrade to another API used for vat checking I will release it next week Wednesday.** Not a module fault. DutchCoding
Hey Everyone,1. the fix is this URL 'http://ec.europa.eu/taxation_customs/vies/checkVatService.wsdl'please change exchange the old URL in the 'testvat.php' to this. A simple fix. A new version of the module might come out in a month or 2. letting you choose a second method if the primary method of checking is down. The changes of both being down would mean the whole vies website would be down not just the api. Also some improvement : Multiple groups ( tax exempt )Better input/syntax controlBetter email template to owner including IP information ( For personal records )More features will come after release of 1.4Greetings,DutchCoding
