"In the same category" issue

Hi all,

When I am in product A screen, if I click on product B shown in the "in the same category" bar, it takes me to product's B screen but then "in the same category" bar disapears. It was only shown when I was viewing product A and disapears when I move to product B.

Is it a bug? there must be a way of fixing it, isn't it?

Check the default category of the product that isn't displaying "In the same category". If it is the "Home" category, then it won't display products in the same category. You'll need to change the default category to the category you want products from.

Yes, you're right, those products in the home page do not appear. Half the problem solved. Thanks.

Nevertheless, it is the whole "bar", the whole module seems to be wiped away after selecting one of its products: after clicking on one of the products shown in the bar, it takes me to the product data screen but the "bar" dissapears.

That's because of the "Home" issue I mentioned above. When you click from a category to a product, PrestaShop uses that as the category of the product, but when you click on an "In the same category" product, the default category of the product is loaded, which is the "Home" category on your site. For example, if you go directly to product.php?id_product=10 on your site, it shows it as in the "Home" category, which wrong. Editing all your products and changing the default category to something other than "Home" should fix this.
