Full List of Releases / versions of Prestashop

In an urge to create order in chaos i made a list of releases of Prestashop. From this you can make your own educated guesses for the future release(s).
I got the dates from the Changelog file and the forum posts. Sometimes there is a difference in dates due to that. Not all releases where published in the forum. If anything is not correct then pls let me know. Click on the version to download it. Only the red versions have a download link.

You can draw your own conclusions from this list, so here are mine:

* A typical release, (from alpha to final) takes around 6 months for at least the 1.2 and 1.3 branches.
* So using that knowledge we can expect the 1.4 Final in Dec 2010 or Jan 2011.
* The 1.3 branch got more complex and needed 7 RC's.

* Statistics are lies ;-)

If I had an older heavily modified store that was acting up, I'd rather apply my changes to the old code than upgrading because upgrading is such a paint in the behind!!!!!

Indeed. Until now i found that upgrading is not worth the "pain in the ass".
Too bad that PS is so difficult to upgrade because everything depends on eachother.

I have a lot of work and I can't reply on the many topics on the forum. Indeed, I works daily on bug tracker with community users and on evolution of Prestashop software.
Patric works daily on the forum, and he inform us of the various topics on which we must intervene.

As I've stated on here before, I think every developer should take turns on the forums. It may happen on the French forum, I don't know. I just know that not enough of you post in the English forum to my likes and it shows that you are not supportive of your product.

Thanks for this informative listing. It does draw a curve of 6 months development of PrestaShop. I didn't notice it before. But hey, statistics are lies, sometimes ;-)

Added the new alpha 2 release. The zip is now 10.9 Mb big.

And like i said before. Statistics are lies. 1.4 aplha2 was released on the 1oth of Nov.. So much for a final in dec 2010/2011. That will take at least six months more (again predictions ;-)

just thought i would say this list is very handy. A lot of people are on different versions of prestashop and i had to get hold of an old copy of 1.3.1 AdminProducts.php to help someone out. I now can get it easily without hunting about.

Added the alpha 4 release. This is the first version that got 4 alpha releases.

The Prestashop team is firing things up over there. Latest releases of 1.3.6 and 1.4.0.8 are added to the list

Added the RC1 candidate for the 1.4 branch.
I wonder if there will be as many release candidates as the 1.3.x had. The 1.4 branch has 5 beta's instead of 1 (1.3x.)

Added the latest versions for the 1.4 branch. As you can see the total develop time from Alpha 1 to Final 1.4.3 took exactly 1 year. That is 3 months faster then the 1.3 branch.

Lets see if the 1.4.3 is as good & stable as the 1.2.5 and 1.3.1 were
