why the prestashop is so slowly?

when i open the prestashop forum and my website shop,It is always so slowly! how about everybody feelling?

If the PrestaShop forums are also very slow, it may be your Internet connection causing the slowdown. PrestaShop hasn't been slow on any of the websites I've done, though I haven't done any websites with a large catalog of products. Of course, any shopping cart will go slow if you have created a theme that isn't designed to be fast. You can improve the speed of your website using my performance tips.

We are having the same problem (not with the forum being slow but with our website being slow). It is pretty well clsoing down our business right now)

Rocky, what did you mean by having a theme that was not "designed to be fast"

Why would anyone put in a them that is designed to be slow?

We are using the beauty shop theme (www.epicureanfoods.com)

Your website loads fast for me. I noticed you have many categories. That could be slowing down your site. Try changing the "Maximum depth" to 1 on the configuration page of the categories block so load only the top-level categories. That will let you know whether the categories are having an impact on you website's speed.

We've actually gone from bad to worse. We have 4 websites (CDN/US/RETAIL/WHOLESALE) and as of yesterday afternoon, no one can log in.

We can't seem to figure it out.

Any suggestions?
