rocky
The "Is this a downloadable product?" option should only be used if the customer must purchase a product before it can be downloaded. A personal link will be sent to the customer that will give only them access to the file for the period of time you specify. For a free brochure of a product that can be downloaded for free, you should use the attachments feature. I've got the same problem with attachments on my site. Most browsers correctly add ".zip" to the end, but some browsers like IE8 download it with an unknown extension. I've reported the bug here, but the PrestaShop team cannot reproduce the issue. At one stage, the problem mysteriously fixed itself, but now the error has returned again. rocky
I had another look at this and discovered that you must put the file extension in the name of the attachment. It isn't clear that this is necessary, so I've posted a bug report here.
