Creating % discount for specific products

I am looking to add a 40% product discount to 10 items (when ordering 10 or more items) and a 20% to a further 3 items. I have tried adding this as a general price rule - which seems to be applied in the cart but there is no visual sale sign or details of the price reduction  in the product page or quick view page.  I then tried adding it to the product within the price tab, now the sale icon is added but still the new price is not being displayed - any ideas?  Any help would be hugely appreciated - I am not a technical whizz!

There is a sale sign on both catalog + product page. (The red Sale) Its obvious enough i mean its red.

Now aswell as quickview. Theres again sale on the right top. As far as product discount table its not suppose to be there. This is quickview. If you want all info on quickview you wouldnt need quickview.

Hi, thanks for your response - the volume discount information was not very obvious so I had missed it!!  But the second question is - is it possible to get the sale sign and the volume discount sign to appear when you add the same offer to multiple items via the price rules/cart rules tabs?  This would be quicker to set up for many products. Many thanks
