Adding product to cart, PS adds other items

Happy new year,

I saw a post on problem from some years back https://www.prestashop.com/forums/topic/220197-adding-product-to-cart-ps-adds-also-some-other-products/?tab=comments&_fromLogin=1 .

It seems like the same issue that i now have - i've deleted some customer orders (did'nt know this was as issue until now) and now i have random products in my cart (only when i clear my browser cashe and then add a product).

I've got my busiest time of the year coming up and i'm stuck on this for 3 weeks now. Still massive noob on Prestashop.

I followed the solution:

1) open phpMyAdmin

2) open ps_cart_products table

3) check what is the highest number of ID there

4) open ps_cart table

5) go to ps_cart table settings page

6) change AUTO_INCREMENT value to value which is equal to highest number of ID stored in ps_cart_products table, the best: ID+1

But no matter how many times i try to increase the auto-increment value in myphpadmin it always sets the value higher than i entered (see image). The issue still persists.

I was going to try deleting all rows on ps_cart_products that have no corresponding ps_cart row, but i have no idea of the process on how to cross reference the two?

Any idea?
