Wrong number products showing

There is only ONE of these products in the ps_products table.
Why would 3 show in this list?

OK, I narrowed down this problem.
We use a custom import routine for our vendor's inventory. I recently added a function to insert records into the ps_image table for "forward compatibility"; we currently use a column called hack_image in ps_product for the product image but I digress.

Anyway, the ps_image table does not have a unique index on it and you can insert multiple records with the same id_product, position and cover.

I look at this as bad architecture as the JOIN in the Search class cause multiple products to show when you have one product in ps_product but multiple records for that product in ps_image.
