MrBaseball34 Posted August 3, 2010 Share Posted August 3, 2010 Anyone have any hacks showing how to add a surcharge for shipping for an item when the item's weight exceeds a certain amount?We sell heavy tools on one of our sites and offer free shipping if order > $100 BUT if they order an item where weight makes freight > $50 we lose money. We want to add shipping surcharge for items > 50 lbs.[RANT]BTW, isn't it kind of goofy to have a "Free shipping starts at:XXXXX lb"Why would I want to give free shipping to things that WEIGH MORE?Shouldn't it be "Free shipping ENDS at: XXXXX lb"?I can understand "Free shipping starts at: $XXX.XX" but the weight thing gets me...Both those values should have been made RANGES, to begin with.[/RANT] Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
