Modules not showing up; Horizontal Categories layout

Hello,

I just installed PrestaShop, and so far it's been wonderful. However, I've encountered a few problems. I positioned the QuickSearch & language selection modules in the footer, but they aren't showing up. Does anyone have an idea of how to approach this?

Also - the layout for the Horizontal Categories (by Alpha Categories -- an ingenius mod) is giving me some trouble. There are many categories, and the user isn't able to see all the available because it gets cut off. I thought the simplest solution would be to implement 2 columns in supernote.css, but it won't convert the text to 2 columns. Also - the category tree is a bit funky - it only shows 2 levels, when our category level goes deeper than that (i.e: Category 1 >> Subcat a >> sub sub cat). Is there a way to show an indent or ">>" to indicate that it's a subcategory?
