(SOLVED) Categories on the left do not display

Hi all,

Only when picking a product (like Macbook air, just click on it to see the different combinations), the categories on the left disappear. This happens only if the product has combinations. is that a bug or a feature? Thanks

This is usually caused by a Javascript error because you are using a theme that is incompatible with the version of PrestaShop you are using. Can you provide a link to your site? You can get the error message by clicking the "Done, with errors" icon in the bottom-left corner in IE.

Thanks Rocky. I am using the default theme. The error is on line 222 or product.js :

if (selectedCombination['reference'] || productReference)

and the error is: productReference is undefined.

I did change some files to hide the pitcures and also the available text when you see a list of products, but I don't see productReference in those files?

I did a search for all text files that reference productReference and it's only product. js. What gives? Thanks

It should be in product.tpl too.

The only mention in product.tpl is:

No. You should have the following on line 36 of product.tpl (in PrestaShop v1.3.1):

var productReference = '{$product->reference|escape:'htmlall':'UTF-8'}';
