Problems with forwarding URL to multistore and showing the right URL

I have set up a multistore account on a testlocation of mine.

I added several shops and added the URL's in my multistore account and forwarded the URL's of the shops that I want to use in the multistore.

But when I go to the URL of the second shop, it just shows the URL of the mainshop in the browser.

I have seo-friendly URL's switched on already.

What am I doing wrong?

Hi, I'm facing the same problem .. n struggling .. been googling alot..

during the att new shop stage, remove "META INFORMATION" & "Store"

Hi you cannot forward another url into a ps main domain because server the domain gets changed to the forwarded domain.

 

This is how you do it when you have there hosting control panels

 

Cpanel park new domain to main domain (some new cpanel now call it alias)

Plesk alias new domain to main domain

 

if you are not using one of these hosting control panels then I would search on how to set dns to aliais to another domain for your particular environment.

 

and just to show off a little, I wrote a multishop for PrestaShop 1.4 that was upgraded for 1.5/1.6 (1.7 coming).  see here

 

make sure to use incognito windows when trying to access new domain
