I look for a module that manages the volume weight and only weight too.

We use couriers that handle the volume weight but also the real weight by selecting the highest value, for example:

 

real weight

40 x 30 x 30 cm         weight 20 kg

volume weight

40 x 30 x 30 x 3 /10000= 10,8 kg (this is a formula for many couriers of my country)

 

in this case the courier will charge the company for the cost of 20 kg

Then, the carrier charges the highest kilogram to us.

 

Do you have suggestions or experiences of module that can do this?

 

some of our products can only be sold by calculating the volume weight

 

is there also the possibility for some products to handle the cost of shipping only through a quote?
​I know that this way we lose the buying automatism, but some times it happens that the customer is asking us for shipment discounts, so we can show the buyers the possibility to ask us how much could be cost a shipment cart.
